A funny point is that because of Cynder having experienced adulthood much earlier than normal before being turned back to normal and due to Spyro's adventure causing him to be forced to mature far quicker mentally, the fact that something is being built up toward each others is not farfetched at all.
It doesn't turn into outright love for a variety of reasons ; although they'll spend quite a bit of time together (months, to be more exact), they're too young to have hormones give a 'solid' base to their feelings and Cynder is struggling with her feelings of guilt (due to the fact that everyone just brush off what she did to brainwashing... though she never was). But it is getting there and the two are cute as they interact.
Oh and nice to see that you included Cynder's shackles ; that the shackles were not in Cynder's design in The Eternal Night was actually a goof (this was corrected in Dawn of the Dragon). They're important as they represent her link to the Dark Master (assumed to be to Malefor by mostly everyone... but are actually a sign of her connection to Spyro. At first, they're a symbol of her curse. Later on, a symbol of her defiance to Dark Will's prophecy).
